More than just a map, AAA's unique Internet TripTik is a full-service online routing and trip planning tool.  It provides detailed driving directions allowing users to map up to 12 stopovers.  Travelers can plot locations of stopovers such as hotels or attractions from a drop-down list - no address needed! According to indepedent research, AAA offers the lowest online hotel rates. Users also have access to AAA TourBook® information.

AAAmaps.com
AAAmaps.com is based on the same information used to develop ITT and is available to all consumers.  It provides basic maps, driving directions, and TourBook® lodging, restaurant, and attraction information and locations, as well as online bookings and rate discounts at hotels.

Daily Fuel Gauge Report
By surveying more than 60,000 self-serve stations each business day, AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report provides media and other users with the most comprehensive retail gasoline survey available.

Fuel Cost Calculator
The AAA Fuel Cost Calculator estimates fuel costs for driving by using origination and destination points, and vehicle make, model, and year.

Drive Trips
AAA Drive Trips are pre-planned, pre-mapped excursions that provide comprehensive road travel information for more than 80 top U.S. and Canadian destinations.  Each includes route maps, estimated driving times, mileage, sightseeing information, direct links to hotel booking, and more.

Diamond Ratings
AAA annually evaluates more than 55,000 lodgings and restaurants throughout North America - more than any other rating system - and rates them on a scale of One to Five Diamonds. AAA has been evaluating properties since 1937 to make the travel experience more enjoyable for members and consumers.  Properties do not pay any fees to be evaluated, rated, and listed by AAA. AAA Diamond Rating information is integrated with the online TourBook, Internet TripTik,  AAAmaps.com and hotel reservations.

Online TourBook®
The online TourBook serves as a searchable index for lodging, dining, attraction, event, and destination information.  The database includes the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean TourBook content and U.S. and Canada campground listings.

Online TravelBook®/Essential Guides
These features offer travelers detailed content and images for 19 European countries, more than 40 European cities, Australia, and New Zealand.

Cruises
AAA offers one-stop shopping for travelers interested in cruising. Using AAA’s powerful online booking engine, travelers can search for cruises by destination, point of departure, date, type of cruise, ship information or itinerary. AAA offers more value to vacationers through its many cruise industry partners providing great vacation experiences throughout the world.

Tours
The AAA tour search function provides users with multiple searching techniques, including by date, estimated budget, lifestyle/interests, and destination.  Prepackaged and independent tours are available in popular North American, South/Central American, and European destinations and offer many historical, entertainment, and site-seeing opportunities.

Car Rentals
The partnership between AAA and Hertz provides AAA members with exclusive discounts on rental vehicles ranging from sub-compact to luxury cars, trucks, SUV's, and minivans.  Members also benefit from the convenience of making online car reservations.

Hotels
Via AAA's online hotel booking feature, users can find and book hotel rooms at AAA Approved™ properties throughout North America. Independent research conducted by PhoCusWright, Inc., found aaa.com to be “the absolute lowest rate winner” for hotel rates in side-by-side comparisons with four travel Web sites. Users can also book International hotel reservations for properties not approved by AAA. This feature is integrated with AAA's popular TourBook travel guides.

Airfares
AAA's flexible and robust flight booking engine offers convenient, online airline reservations for destinations throughout the world.

Online Trip Planning
AAA provides a variety of features to help travelers plan the perfect vacation. Internet TripTik and aaamaps.com provide more than maps. They also allow users to add hotels, restaurants, events, campgrounds and more to the map. With links to the TourBook and TravelBook online, members can also find destination information for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

AAA Travel Money
If you are wondering what type of money you should carry when traveling - cash, credit card, debit card - AAA can provide advice as well as the payment vehicle. With AAA Travel Money, travelers can be worry-free when they are on the road in the US or or abroad.  Foreign Currency Tip Paks, the AAA Visa TravelMoney® Card and AAA Visa® Travelers Cheques, AAA Travel Money offers security and convenience.

Search for Savings
aaa.com's Search for Savings feature allows users to search for businesses that offer discounts to AAA members. The database can be searched geographically, making it easy to find discounts at businesses in their home town or at a vacation destination. There is also an International Search for Savings feature for those who plan to travel abroad.

Driving Abroad
aaa.com provides detailed information about International Driving Permit requirements and processes for application.  The IDP translates a legal US driver's license into 11 languages, and is useable as a legal driver's license in more than 200 foreign countries, but not the US.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an excellent way to protect your vacation investment.  It is relatively inexpensive and can cover trip cancellation, baggage loss or emergency medical assistance.
