As Vice President, Public Affairs, Kathleen F. Marvaso directs AAA’s public affairs activities, including government relations, traffic safety policy and programs, public relations, corporate communications, community relations and international public policy.
She is a 15-year veteran of the association, and has directed comprehensive public affairs initiatives to help AAA achieve its goal of improving mobility and enhancing the safety of the traveling public. During her tenure, Kathleen has guided the 56-club federation’s efforts to improve child passenger, teen and senior driver safety, and represent motorists’ interests relating to transportation and energy policy.
Before coming to AAA, Kathleen worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant in Washington, and managed campaign operations for Congressman Bill Nelson’s 1990 bid for Governor in Florida. Kathleen is a member of the University of Florida Public Relations Advisory Council and the Public Affairs Council Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Kathleen has a communications background, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida, and holds a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University.
