Doug Bower joined the AAA National Office in 2007 as Vice President of Travel and Financial Services. A senior management executive with more than 20 years of experience in service-based industries, Doug's role includes guiding business-line operations, strategic planning, new business development, marketing, revenue growth and financial planning. He brings a broad base of business experience with emphasis on strategic planning, operations management, new business development, marketing, revenue growth and financial planning. In addition, Doug's understanding of AAA club operations makes him uniquely qualified for this staff officer position.
Prior to joining the AAA National Office, Doug was president and COO of AAA Auto Club Group, based in Dearborn, Michigan. After joining AAA Auto Club Group in 1999, Bower helped improve overall profitability and supervised integration of six regional clubs into a single operating entity.
Preceding his club tenure, Doug held executive positions with Advanta Corporation, a major financial services company, and MBNA Corporation, a major credit card bank, now merged with Bank of America. His responsibilities included business credit card product development, development of strategic and annual plans, marketing and account acquisition strategies.
Doug is a business graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and has his MBA from Philadelphia University.
